About This Project

661 Chapel St Art Collection

ADA Consulting were appointed in December 2016 to this project and began to visualise the art collection that would complement and enhance the building, exquisitely designed by Vanessa Bird of Bird de la Coeur Architects.

Each of these works were scrutinised over and over by the team until we settled on
this collection of contemporary Australian art. From the 661 Porte-cochere entrance sculpture, hand crafted in stainless steel by one of Australia’s most celebrated sculptors Matthew Harding, all the way to the small scale flower portraits by photographer Fabrice Bigot.

“The curatorial vision with this project was to create a collection of artwork that I would want to show in my house, artwork that would greet me as I came home from work, and that I would sit beside while I read the morning paper. I wanted to create a warm and contemplative art collection not just for a concierge desk, a lobby or a library, but also for a home. I am very proud of this collection, and hope that the residents and guests will enjoy the artwork for many years to come. “
