Culture & Placemaking

Placemaking is the process of creating quality places for community – places that people want to live, play, work and learn in. We understand where culture and public art sit in that domain, and how to integrate the two in a way that resonates for all involved.

ADA’s placemaking strategy centres community, and through the diversity of Australian contemporary art, leads a shift towards creating public realms that reflects the many cultures, communities and artistic pulses that define contemporary Australia. ADA believes that integrated public art can cultivate a landscape where artists are recognised, celebrated contributors to collective culture.
