About This Project

Banco Group engaged ADA Consulting to commission artist John Aslanidis to paint a wall mural in the EBV Display suite, insitu. Aslanidis’ elegant chromatic paintings offer a vision firmly grounded in knowledge of physics, mathematics and music theory. His colour and line create a poetics of the interval – the space between – and blur the normative boundaries between what we see, hear, feel and experience through time. He calls his paintings “fragments of infinity.

John has exhibited throughout Australia for over 20 years. His work is represented by galleries in Australia, New York and Berlin, and he has received grants from the Australia Council, Arts Victoria, the NSW Ministry of the Arts and the Pollack Krasner Art Foundation (US).  “We are so thrilled to have artist and Brunswick local John Aslanidis, create a new work insitu in the Display suite at East Brunswick village. Working for 7 days in a row to finish this new work which he has painted directly onto the display suite wall, John’s energizing painting full of  graphic, contrasting colour will welcome each visitors to the suite.” Andy Dinan EBV Public Art Consultant
